On November 29, 2007 the Bank Commissioner for the state of New Hampshire issued an order requiring all mortgage bankers and mortgage servicers licensed within the state to designate a member of their organization to communicate with consumers on foreclosure and mortgage loan workout issues and that such contact person should have authority to facilitate foreclosure avoidance procedures.

If you do not have the contact information to reach your mortgage lender/servicer, the New Hampshire Banking Department maintains and frequently updates the list of mortgage bankers and loan servicers licenseed in the state.
